Trained by his father, Robert Walser, at the age of fourteen, Philippe Walser, great-grandson, grandson and nephew of cabinetmaker, educated and completed his technical and theoretical knowledge in the Fine art of Nancy.
The same time as his training, he was introduced to master the various educational and philosophic techniques which allowed him to be able to direct a company later and as well to teach some rare followers with the methods stemming from the FORMER GUILDS.
Concerning the restoration, by his skills of expert, the lessons followed in S.F.I.I.C. (The International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works) and through the knowledge received from his masters, Philippe Walser works on the restorations and the conservations only in a museographic spirit.
40 years of profession, a detailed technical knowledge of all the styles, he still works on some wood coming from the workshops of Gallé (School of Nancy) which allows him to express himself correctly both in marquetry and in massif with a material of quality.
In order to meet all kinds of demand, the workshop possesses a stock of massive wood and precious veneers which are from the east of France, as well as the stocks of animal glues, tortoiseshell (authorization of the ministry of agriculture). The stability of the furniture is assured in the workshop by a heating power station and by the regular controls of the humidity.
